Job Walk Pro
A Job Walk Pro alternative for reconciliation, not just reporting
Both turn a site visit into equipment records. One ends in a report; the other ends in a record checked against your drawings.
Job Walk Pro is job walk and site survey software for HVAC, MEP and facility professionals, and what it produces is an equipment asset report: inventory, photos, condition, recommendations. Tagvexa covers the same site visit but aims at a different deliverable — a record placed on your floor plans and compared against your design schedule, where the mismatches and the never-photographed units are the output that matters. If you are writing condition reports, theirs is pointed at your job. If you are documenting existing conditions for a design, ours is.

Everything in the Job Walk Pro column was read from their own site on 18 September 2026. Where it says a capability is not claimed, that means exactly that: we found no mention of it, not that the product cannot do it. Products change, and theirs is the authoritative description. If we have something wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
When Job Walk Pro is the better pick
The deliverable is a report. If a client is paying for a condition assessment with observations and recommendations, that is what Job Walk Pro is built to produce, and producing it directly beats assembling it from a dataset.
You need a native mobile app. They ship one for Android. Tagvexa runs in a phone browser, which is fine in most plant rooms and worse in some.
There are no drawings in play. Floor plan placement and schedule comparison are most of what we add. On a job with neither, you are carrying weight you are not using.
When Tagvexa is the better pick
The survey feeds a design. Existing conditions work is judged on what it missed. Comparing against the schedule is how a never-photographed unit surfaces before somebody designs around a room they never saw.
Nameplate transcription is the cost. Photographing two hundred plates is an afternoon. Typing them up is the rest of the week.
The output has to go back into CAD. Reviewed geometry exports as DXF with real units and predictable layers.
What we are not claiming
Extraction is not accuracy. Nameplate reads can be wrong, especially with glare, small text or a damaged plate, which is why an uncertain read is flagged and waits for a person rather than being filed as fact. Tagvexa does not produce a verified as-built model and does not replace engineering judgment.
Questions people actually ask
What is the actual difference?
The output. Job Walk Pro is built to produce a professional equipment asset report from a site visit: inventory, photographs, condition observations, recommendations. Tagvexa is built to produce a record that has been checked against your floor plans and design schedule, where the disagreements are the point. One ends in a document, the other ends in a reconciled dataset you can export.
Does Job Walk Pro extract nameplate data automatically?
Their site describes nameplate documentation, which is capture and organisation, and does not claim automated extraction or OCR. Tagvexa reads the readable fields out of the photo and flags the uncertain ones for a person.
Can Job Walk Pro place equipment on a floor plan?
We found no floor plan placement claimed on their site. If your deliverable needs equipment located on a plan, that is a real difference worth testing.
We do condition assessments, not existing conditions surveys. Which fits?
If the deliverable is a condition report with recommendations, Job Walk Pro is aimed squarely at that. Tagvexa does record condition, but its centre of gravity is documenting what is installed and where it disagrees with the design documents. Different jobs that happen to share a site visit.
Is Tagvexa mobile?
It runs in the browser on a phone, which is what the field capture is designed around. Job Walk Pro ships a native Android app. If your crews need a native app or reliable offline behaviour, test that specifically before switching.
