Alternatives
How Tagvexa compares, including where it loses
Three tools MEP teams look at alongside this one, with the cases where each of them is the better answer.
Every comparison page on the internet concludes that the company who wrote it wins. These do not. Each one names the situations where the other product is the better choice, because the alternative is a demo call that ends with both sides realising it was never a fit.
Competitor claims were read from their own public sites on 18 September 2026. Where a page says a capability is not claimed, that means we found no mention of it — not that the product cannot do it.
The short version
01: FloorPins
02: Job Walk Pro
03: FieldScout
| Product | What it is | How it relates |
|---|---|---|
| FloorPins | Floor plan pinning and custom survey forms, exported as CSV | Closest overlap. Simpler and quicker per pin; no nameplate extraction or schedule comparison claimed. |
| Job Walk Pro | Job walk software producing an equipment asset report | Different deliverable. Built to produce a condition report; no floor plan placement or schedule comparison claimed. |
| FieldScout | Construction field operations: safety, permits, logistics | Barely a competitor. Runs an active jobsite rather than documenting an existing building. |

What Tagvexa does not do
It does not run a jobsite, manage permits, or track worker certification. It does not produce a verified as-built model, and it does not replace engineering judgment. Nameplate extraction can be wrong — glare, small text, a damaged plate — so an uncertain read is flagged and waits for a person rather than being filed as fact.
What it does is narrower: turn a site visit into equipment records checked against your plans and schedules, with the disagreements made explicit.
